The project
The former Kaufhaus Kraus department store is being comprehensively revitalised and extended to create space for a new inner-city residential and commercial building in the centre of Emmendingen. Across three levels, approx. 4,600 m² of attractive retail and gastronomy space is being developed, opening towards the market square through the site’s three distinctive Löwentor arches.
On the upper floors, 38 modern urban apartments with an inward-facing landscaped courtyard and high quality of stay are being built. The versatile range of uses creates an ideal link between work, leisure and urban living.
