The project
In a prominent corner position on the site of the former district administration office, the Tower One development brings together hotel, residential and hospitality uses. Across 11 storeys, the building accommodates 323 Motel One rooms, 25 modern apartments, high-quality restaurant units and an exclusive sky bar offering panoramic views.
With its clear architectural form and considered urban presence along Kriegsstraße, the project adds long-term value and strengthens the mixed-use fabric of this centrally located site.
City of Laws – experienced as a stance
The new Motel One on Karlsruhe’s Kriegsstraße introduces a subtle institutional identity into everyday life. Terms such as “StVZO” and “BGH” inform the aesthetic of the lobby – not as decoration, but as a reflection of a city in which the rule of law forms part of the lived urban culture. Here, legal order is not merely applied; it is translated architecturally into an attitude.

Where traffic once dominated, a new place of quality has emerged. The Motel One combines a central location with a high degree of comfort: quadruple-glazed windows ensure acoustic calm, flexible zones structure the interior, and nesting boxes integrated into the façade support urban biodiversity.
